Middleton Family Stuff

This is where friends and family can read about new happenings in the Middleton house, as long as I remember to write about them.

Milestones

It's amazing how fast Katie is growing. I remember with Jack we couldn't wait until he rolled over, made noise, sat up, crawled, walked, talked (definitely regretting that one! haha), etc. With Katie I just want her to stay a baby forever! Knowing that each milestone she reaches is the last time we'll experience that is a little sad. She is now rolling over (completely, back to front, then front to back again). When she is on her tummy she can really push herself up on her arms and hold that position for awhile (smiling the whole time, of course). And last night we both heard her plainly babble "da-da" more than once. She is definitely enjoying finding her voice! Now that she's mastered one cereal feeding per day, we may move on to a different kind of cereal. Then bring on the fruits and veggies.

Jack is his usual 5-going on-15 self. He is really liking summer camp. When I told his camp counselors this week that he's attending a different camp in two weeks, they all said they were quitting - they think Jack is just the perfect child. Makes us so proud!! Yet, somewhat confused, since he can turn into a whiny pile of bones once we reach the front door.

Jack's swimming lessons are going great. He goes during his camp hours, so unfortunately I have not been able to watch him. But he's really swimming now! Getting the whole "arm-leg-breath" thing down pat. Some weekend we'll go swimming so he can show off his skills to me.

The Web site is so 2000... Now we're blogging!

Well, since I have not updated our website since 2003, I think it's time to look for a more user-friendly way to share our pictures and news. Welcome to the Middleton blog! Jack and Katie are growing so fast that there is almost daily news. So, if you're interested, keep checking back and I'll put it all in writing.
